To the woman that’s had an abortion

To the woman that's had an abortion

Dear mother,

I call you a mother because you are. You might be shocked. You’re the CEO of a company. You have a life. You are certainly NOT a mother. But, friend, you are. You were a mother, even if only for a few months or even weeks. So you are a mother. I believe that babies who can’t make a choice for themselves go to heaven. Not because they have not done wrong, but because they could not choose Jesus as their savior.  You might wish you didn’t make that choice. It all happened so fast. Maybe you were a teen. The thought of being a ‘teen mom’ was sickening, to say the least. You worried about acceptance. You were already not popular, so what would this do your social life? Would anyone ever accept you again? The pressure of those around you to have an abortion was so strong. It was quick and easy. Or so you thought. But here you are, still thinking about it. Still thinking about that little life inside of you. That you’ll never see again. That thought is truly sickening. Then again, you might be glad. “I succeeded because I don’t have children.” Is your thought. You might even be glad that you won’t ever know your baby.

But I’m not here to talk about the wrong that you did. I’m here to talk about my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He loves you. That will never change. He will never leave you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

-Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV

Do you trust in him? My friend, if you don’t, His arms are open wide. He will welcome you with joy and gladness. He loves you. And that’s what I want you to know.

It doesn’t matter what you say or how you say it. All you need to do is trust that Jesus died and rose again for YOU. Ask him to come into your heart and save you.

And, dear mother,

I’m praying for you.

YOU can help pregnancy centers

Here’s to an extra post… on a Monday, too!

I’m just going to get right into it:

Our family is participating in the Walk for Life 2018 on Mother’s Day Weekend. We’re trying to collect money (Our goal is $300) and you can help. Make an online donation here. Your donation of $20 or even $5 or $10 would be helpful in saving babies lives!

Even if you can’t make a donation, please keep pregnancy centers in prayer. You could even see about volunteering at a local center.

This was short but hopefully sweet 🙂

Abortion: My Viewpoint

This post may make you uncomfortable. It might make you squirm. Abortion’s not THAT bad. What are you talking about? But it needs to be said. So I’m going to say it.

Melanie from Reflections of The Heart (amazing, check it out) has plenty of amazing posts about this topic. She’s an amazing pro-life teen, and her blog is very inspirational and amazing. I’ve been following her for a while, and she’s great! Her posts range from modesty to lifestyle, from decor to relationships.

I’m sure you all heard about the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida. 17 innocent people were shot in a location that is meant to be a safe haven for them. I hurt for the families who lost a piece in their lives- may it be a spouse or child. Their lives will be forever different.  I hurt for these families, but I have a greater hurt than that. My heart aches because of the response this has caused. Almost everyone shows sympathy- and that’s not bad. It’s good that many people are against such a thing. The sad thing is that people are totally against this- but over 125, 000 abortions occur each day. Over 125, 000 innocent babies are murdered each day; what’s more, in a location that should be the safest place possible. How can shooting be wrong and hated, but ripping apart unborn babies be admired? How can everyone hate the fact that 17 humans were robbed of life, but not care about the billions of unborn humans who never even had a chance to live outside of the womb? The question is: How can we be so enraged at the shooter when we have taught him that life is disposable?

Don’t get me wrong, I am most certainly against shootings- especially this one! What happened was horrible and should NOT have happened. But everyone who is also hurting for the children, adults, and their families and not hurting for the billions of unborn children should reconsider.

This was just as hard to write as it will be to read.
