🏆 Camp NaNo Update | Did I Win? 🏆

post featured image (1)

I WON CAMP NANO. 🎉🎉

Do you want to know my goal?? 5K!! *crickets*

Okay, I know my goal wasn’t a lot (are you kidding Christina 5K is nothing compared to what most writers do…) but still. I WON. *more crickets*

null

Anyway, I suppose you want to hear all about my story (just kidding I know you don’t) so… let’s get started!!

My story’s name is… untitled. Yes, that’s correct! I have NO idea what to call it. Also… I haven’t even finished plotting/outlining it so I don’t really what will happen. xD

Someday I’ll post a professional introduction to my story, but this post is going to be fun and… I’m not sure. Anyway.

Novel Inspo Board (1)

This is my inspo board for my entire novel… As you can see, it’s mainly focused around books, friendships, and a teensy bit of romance. 😂

Aria Style Board

Aria (the main character)’s style board isn’t the best, but hopefully it gives you a little peek into her style. I mostly just made this for my own reference, though!

Aria Wedding 2

Hm… why would Aria be wearing a wedding dress? (HINT HINT) This was so fun to make!

Aria

ARIA ^^ This was also fun to make, even though I would prefer her looking towards the front rather than the side. Oh, well.

Goals for *untitled novel*

These are my goals for my untitled novel 😂

 1. Come up with a title (or at least three options) by May 1, 2019
 2. Come up with a summary/plot (short) by May 1, 2019
 3. Finish outlining all chapters by June 1, 2019
 4. Finish rough draft of book (all chapters) by July 1, 2019
 5. Begin editing/re-writing book by August 1, 2019
 6. Get book ready for official re-write/edit by November 1, 2019 (just in time for NaNo!!
 7. Have copy of book ready for alpha/beta readers by December 31, 2019

I’m really scared and excited to see what will happen with my untitled novel!!

Thank y’all for your support (and of course, my AMAZING cabin!!) ❤❤

Do you always judge books by their covers like me? 😂
Also you guys should know that I judge books by their covers already… remember my tbr?

Recently: Youtube Edition

post featured image (1)

A little bit ago, I did a post about things I was listening to and reading. Today, I decided to do a post about things I’m watching! I don’t watch a lot of YouTube, but I have some things that I watch.

null

Studio C//JK Studios

Did you think I wouldn’t include this? No such luck. While these channels aren’t the same, they are created by the same people and contain similar content. Both of these channels post short (3-8 minute) skits that are hilarious and family friendly! 😍

Ranger Ruby

My friend has her own channel all about National Parks, and I love it! I’ve learned so much about National Parks from her channel 😉 Ruby is a great friend and I would love it if you checked out her channel! I want to get her to 500 subs because she deserves it!

Audiosmiths’ Radio Theater

The Audiosmiths’ Radio Theater is great! They do radio dramas that are really fun, and while I haven’t listened to all of them, the ones I have I love! 😜 Definitely check them out!

Books for Christian Girls

I absolutely LOVE the books for christian girls sight, so when Lindsey launched a YouTube I knew I would love it too! Her videos are all about books, and my favorite is her room tour (guys that room is my dream!! It’s literally the best!!). One recent video was about blogging, and so of course I enjoyed it too. The main emoji I would use for BCFG is… 😍😍😍 xD

Sorry for the short post (oops!). What are your favorite YouTube channels? Do you watch BCFG?

R E A L I T Y con’t: He Died For You!

post featured image

Because of Easter, I decided to do a little mini-series called “Reality” about the promise of Jesus. Stick around if you haven’t heard this promise, and if you have, I’d love for you to read this anyway!

On Friday, we talked about how we have all sinned and how we could never save ourselves. Today, which is Easter Sunday, we’re going to talk more about Jesus’ death and the gift of salvation.

null

What I’m going to talk about today can be summed up in many verses (a big list is below), but the main one I’m going to use is 1 Corinthians 15: 3-6

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

This passage says that…

 • Christ died for our sins (in accordance with the Scriptures)
 • He was buried
 • He was raised on the third day (in accordance with the Scriptures)
 • He appeared to the 12 disciples

Today is Easter Sunday, which is the day that Jesus rose again. He died on Good Friday (Friday).

Jesus was crucified because the religious leaders of the Jews at that time didn’t like how Jesus was captivating the people. They had believed that their promised Messiah would be a political king who would save them from the Romans, but Jesus, their promised Messiah, came to save them from their sins.

When Jesus died, he took all of our sins on his back if we trust in him.

But if Jesus had just died, there would be no point in trusting in him.

But Jesus didn’t just die! No! He rose again three days later, defeating sin and death forever. And he did it all for you and me.

If you trust in God’s free gift through Jesus and want to have salvation, you can pray and ask God for it.

There’s no specific prayer you have to pray, but you should confess your sin and accept and believe in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for reading this post! ❤

These bible verses all sum up the Gospel- if you have some time, reading all of them is really helpful:

He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed (Isa. 53:5)

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45)

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)

All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name (Acts 10:43)

Through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses (Acts 13:38-39)

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Rom. 4:25)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:8)

Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures … he was buried. . . . The third day he rose again from the dead, according to the Scriptures . . . and he appeared (1 Cor. 15:3-6)

God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting men’s trespasses against them (2 Cor. 5:19)

God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him (2 Cor. 5:21)

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David: this is my Gospel (2 Tim. 2:8)

He gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good (Titus 2:14)

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7)

Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him (Heb. 9:28)

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed  (Peter 2:24)

Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God (1 Peter 3:1)

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10)

s i n

What is sin?

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Sin is anything that goes against God’s wishes. Have you ever lied- even just a “tiny white lie”? Have you ever taken something that wasn’t yours? You’ve sinned.

“Sure!” You say. “I may have done that… but I haven’t murdered anyone. I haven’t committed adultery or stolen a car.”

There’s only one problem with that… it doesn’t matter! If you do one sin, it doesn’t matter that you’ve kept every other commandment in the Bible.

James 2:10

For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.

If you do everything God asks but fail in one “tiny little thing”, you’ve sinned. And you are no longer holy. In really simple terms, holy means “set apart”. God is completely holy because he has never sinned, and when we sin, we can no longer be with God.

Romans 3:23 in the bible sums up our predicament perfectly:

“For all have sinned and all fall short of the glory of God.”

Everyone has sinned, and because everyone has sinned, no one can be with God anymore because God is holy.

So what can we do?

God gives us many rules, laws, and commandments that we can never follow. God told the Israelites to do many sacrifices- this is how they made peace with God. They could never fully be with God, however. They had to constantly preform sacrifices when they sinned, so they were really never clean.

By ourselves, we can do absolutely nothing about our sin. And that leads into grace.

g r a c e

What is grace?

Simply, grace is “unmerited favor”. God gives us favor when we don’t deserve it at all. We have done nothing to deserve God’s favor, but he gives it to us.

You know what? That verse, Romans 3:23, that says that we have all sinned and fallen short, there’s a verse after it. And that verse, Romans 3:24, is essential.

Romans 3:24

and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Together, the verses say:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

That is the Gospel. We sin and can’t do anything about it by ourselves, but God sent his son as a free gift to justify us.

God sent his son, Jesus to earth as a man. Jesus died on the cross with all our sins on his back. He took all our sins, and when we trust in him alone, he saves us.

One  thing that a lot of people get wrong is that salvation is a gift. It’s not something you can earn, ever.

This sunday, which is Easter, I’ll be continuing this mini series and talking more about Jesus’ death and the gift of salvation.

How to take advantage of Spring Break

post featured image (1)

It seems like a lot of people already had Spring Break… I’m probably the only one who has it this week 😂 But if you haven’t had your spring break already, here are three ways to take advantage of the week off!

null

❶ – Write extra

If you’re writing a novel, novella, story, or anything in between, take advantage of this week to write extra! You can set a specific goal or just make your goal “to write a lot”. If you’re not writing anything but want to, this is a great time to start that too! Your writing could even be for a blog or school project (or maybe not, because you should never do school on spring break. It’s a rule. That I have broken many times 😂 Actually it’s not a rule and it’s pretty smart!)

BONUS: If you’re doing Camp NaNo’s April session and your spring break falls in April, you’re in luck!

❷ – Throw a party for no reason

… how is this a way to take advantage of Spring Break? I don’t know. But it would be fun! Throw a surprise party for someone with no reason. You could even do it for someone you don’t know (where do I come up with these ideas… don’t do this guys you could be killed.) Send someone a package full of presents for no reason. Basically, have fun and throw lots of parties. And make sure you know the person. 😂 🎉

Also, be sure to go to work so you can earn money to throw all these parties for no reason.

❸ – Get organized

TIP: start cleaning before your Mom starts Spring Cleaning (oh the horrors) and you will have an excuse to back out of spring cleaning. JK.

Organizing is always a great idea! It’s also a great way to productively use your break 😜 Since you have a lot of time available, you can get organized. You could clean/organize your room, backpack, school stuff, or anything really, and when school rolls back around you’ll be extra-prepared.

and you just could

Do schoolwork. Okay there I said it. Don’t kill me! But seriously, Spring Break is a great time to catch up or get ahead… sometimes. Other times you should just take naps (seriously!).

null

What are you going to be doing over Spring Break? Have you ever thrown a party for someone you didn’t know? (guys I do not know where I come up with things like this. Don’t get any ideas children.)

Week Two of the April Blogging Challenge

post featured image (1)

Last week, I did all the prompts in Maggie’s April Blogging Challenge all together instead of posting daily, and I really enjoyed it, so I decided to do the same thing this week.  Note: Instead of starting over at “day one” each Sunday, I decided to continue, so each day will correlate with the day of the month!

DAY 7 – If you could have 1 super power…

Ooh, this is hard. (spends time looking for superhero emojis- I can’t find any 😦)

I think my super power might be always finding the good in something. While flying, being invisible, having a force field, or reading people’s minds would be fun, I think that this would be the most helpful in daily life.

I’m remembering a quote from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader where Lucy finds a spell in a spell book (it’s part of the story) where she can see what her friends are saying (aka eavesdropping).

“Oh dear,” said Lucy. “Have I spoiled everything? Do you mean we would have gone on being friends if it hadn’t been for this—and been really great friends—all our lives perhaps—and now we never shall.”

That’s why I wouldn’t want to read minds 😜 But finding the good in any situation would be a great superpower!

DAY 8 – Your top three favorite blogs to read and why

Oh my goodness why is this so hard!! You guys know I love a lot of blogs, but I’m not really sure what my top three are. If I don’t pick yours, no hard feelings, this was really hard and I couldn’t include all my favorites 🙂

 1. Aria Photo Blog//  I love Aria’s blog! Her most recent post (as of now, the 8th), was “A Day in the Life of a Hermit Graduate”, which was hilariously funny and pretty much my favorite day in the life post ever. Aria’s photos are amazing and I love her blog 😍
 2. Ariana’s Archives (formerly Ariana’s Flying Life)// Sorry guys I know I mention Ari’s blog every single time, but I love it, okay?!! Ari’s posts are always uplifting, funny, and just encouraging. ❤
 3. Bayance// I most recently found this blog and you guys. Seriously. Bayance is SO funny and just a great person 😍 Ever since I found her blog, I’ve been stalking the reader waiting for more posts… is that bad? I hope not because I’m never going to stop 😂 But seriously this blog is a m a z i n g.

I hope you found some new blogs to read! ❤

DAY 9 – Your favorite quote

PLEASE. Why must these be so hard? I love all the quotes!! Pretty much every quote from Narnia is my favorite, but so are so many others 😂 #sorrynotsorry Since I totally can’t pick a favorite bible verse (that would be way harder!) I’m going to exclude those.

This quote from Corrie Ten Boom is really good and so true!!

When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.

And… basically everything that comes up when you google “motivational quotes” is my favorite quote 😂

DAY 10 – 10 Color Asthetics

Eep so I wanted to make 10 asthetics… but I didn’t have time (they take FOREVER) soo… I made 4!

G R E E N

Green

This one has WAY too many shades of green but finding a lot of pictures with the same shade is actually really hard! They almost matched except for the cupcake and coffee pictures.

P I N K

Pink

I actually liked how this one turned out even though there’s a bunch of different shades! I just wish that there were more options aside from flowers.

R E D

Red

This one *might* be my favorite even though most of the pictures are of flowers (whoops!). With red it’s hard to go wrong because there aren’t that many different shades.

Y E L L O W

Yellow

At first I wanted this to be all gold but… that failed. I wish I had done all bright yellow instead of including gold, but I also really don’t want to make it again soo. My favorite picture is the Volkswagen – I love the color 😍

Sorry for only making four aesthetics ☹ but hopefully they were still good!

DAY 11 – A photo of your handwriting

Oh you guys do not want to see my handwriting… okayyy fine I’ll write something in my handwriting for you… but it is not pretty at all 😂

IMG_0271.jpg

^^sorry for the iphone photo but I was NOT about to pull out my camera to take a picture of my handwriting lol

As you can tell, I really need to work on my handwriting! xD It’s so messy (but the pen I was using was literally about to die soo) 😂

DAY 12 – Your favorite color with a photo showing it

I have a lot of favorite colors (like A LOT – pretty much any light color is my favorite) but I think blush pink is my absolute favorite.

(also yes I totally used the photos from my aesthetics… #sorrynotsorry

Blush Pink.jpg

DAY 13 – What’s in your purse/wallet/pocket…

This is going to be interesting… I’m going to share what’s typically in my purse 🙂

 • my ripped wallet that spills coins everywhere
 • small notebook/journal for writing random things down (that ends up being full of kid’s drawings)
 • a few pens that don’t even work
 • some tissues- but I can’t tell if they’re used or not (GROSS)
 • a book that’s been due to go back to the library for six months
 • a broken phone charger
 • random crayon wrappers

… and nothing I really need 😂

Actually, my purse is pretty organized (what did you expect?) but it was fun to make it silly!

BOOK REVIEW: Andora’s Folly by Abigayle Claire

post featured image (1)

NOTE: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Stellae Books in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own and a positive review was not required.

I have really high hopes for this book… guys the author wrote Martin Hospitality (aka probably my favorite book in the universe!!) Josiah is the cutest and Gemma 😍 Plus FARRIS. Please. Before this turns into me fangirling over Martin Hospitality (wait it already has), let’s get started with the review.

null

A n d o r a ‘ s   F o l l y

by Abigayle Claire

The synopsis of the book is from Goodreads.

A Pandora’s Box retelling

Andora is a beautiful young woman with insatiable curiosity. Raised in splendor, she is spoiled by her privileged life. When a love letter is slid under her door, her life takes a drastically unromantic turn. Nothing makes sense—her arranged marriage, the gifts her parents bestow on her wedding day, or her new husband’s temperament.

As Andora begins to unravel the mysteries around her, she ignites a chain of events that have the power to sabotage her entire village forever. Only her new-found wisdom as a desperate peasant’s wife can save her from her folly.

I’ve really never read/heard a lot about Pandora’s Box (only a tiny bit) but I was still really excited to read the book! Plus the author had set my hopes very high 😂 (I love Martin Hospitality okay?)

As I read the book, I began to enjoy it more and more. Andora annoyed me so much at the beginning, but when she got married, I actually began to like her 🙂 By the time the novella was over, I was SO sad. I mean please can we have a sequel? SO GOOD.

C O N T E N T

Knowing Abigayle Claire, I excepted little to no content issues, and I was right. SPOILER At the end, there are a couple kisses between Theus and Andora (who are married), but they’re not detailed. SPOILER Quite honestly, I can’t think of anything questionable in this book aside from a few very non-detailed kisses. There was violence SPOILER And in the end, death SPOILER, but it was not detailed in a gory way.

R E C O M M E N D A T I O N

I would recommend this book to girls and guys over age 11. While I think the story would appeal more to girls, I can see guys enjoying it as well. It took me 30-45 minutes to read the whole novella (while taking some notes for the review), but I do read pretty fast so this may take around 1 hour. Still, it’s definitely worth it! I don’t think anyone 10 or under would enjoy the story very much, but some kids might!

F I N A L   T H O U G H T S

I loved this book. ❤

I already knew that Abigayle Claire was a great author from reading Martin Hospitality (!!!!), but Andora’s Folly confirmed that! I can’t wait for Abigayle’s next book, and like I said I’m hoping for a sequel to Andora’s Folly! It will probably never happen but a girl can wish right??

Anyway. Go buy this book! (you will not be unhappy with it!) Let me know what you think 🙂 It ends really quickly but you will enjoy it!

CALLING ALL BLOGGERS: Get featured on Christina’s Convos

post featured image (1)

Soo you know how I’ve been telling you guys to keep those tips handy? Well, now is the time to pull them back out!

null

If you’re a blogger and you’ve learned some things about blogging that you’d love to share, here is your chance!

I would love to feature you on my podcast, Christina’s Convos. It’s a podcast all about blogging, and any blogger, no matter how successful, can listen to it!

Note: Guys, it does not matter how many followers you have. If you have a lot, that’s great and you’re doing a really good job, but if you only have ten and you think you’ve learned something, you can still share!

Maybe I’d like to share some tips. How do I do it?

Great question! If you’d like to share some tips, there are two ways you can do it.

 1. You can comment below sharing all your tips (and a link to your blog if you’d like it to be shared!)
 2. You can contact me through my contact form (with a link to your blog!)

I don’t really think I have any good tips, though!

That’s okay! I’m sure you do, though 🙂 Sometimes when you’ve been blogging for a while, you forget what it was like at the beginning and some habits you’ve formed since then. If you think back, maybe you can remember!

null

Excuse me for the (very) short post! I’m looking forward to seeing your tips, though 🙂

Week One of the April Blogging Challenge

post featured image (1)

I decided to do Maggie’s April Blogging Challenge prompts all together each week instead of daily (because seriously that’s too much for me!) They might be a little shorter because it’s one post, but I think it will be fun! Also I won’t be doing the Sunday ones just because I wanted to post it on Saturdays! Thanks 🙂

DAY 1- something beautiful to you

Um… a lot of things are beautiful to me! However, as you guys know because I post WAY too many pictures of her, Emily is my favorite. But just babies//little kids in general are the cutest. ❤

img_2345

DAY 2 – Your Morning Routine

This week I’ve been sick, so my mornings aren’t the same as usual. I actually share a room with my two-year old sister, so the time I can wake up (waking her up is definitely a bad idea, cranky toddlers are not fun) is pretty inconsistent. Honestly, no matter what time I wake up, my routine is the same. I used to be really annoyed if I didn’t wake up at the right minute, but as long as I’m awake before 7, I’m fine! Some days I wake up at 6:00, 6:30, 6:45, or 7:00, and it doesn’t really matter 🙂 When I do get up, though, this is what I do:

 • Shower//Get ready for the day (get dressed, hair, and so on)
 • Make bed + Quickly clean up my room (on a good day it’s clean when I leave 😜)
 • Read bible/pray
 • Eat breakfast (okay okay I really don’t. I should start eating breakfast more 😂)
 • Start classes (my first classes are at 8 AM, and I also generally have to do some schoolwork before too)

On a good day I work out. 😂

Does this mean that all my days are bad days?

DAY 3 – Something that makes you happy

I’m going to be super cliche here and say that blogging makes me happy! I love blogging and all of you guys ❤ You always post the sweetest comments and make my day! Thank you 🙂

Also I’m totally going to stop before I get all emotional. Just in case you were worried 😂

DAY 4 – What you Wore, in Detail

I needed a warning that I would have to share this when I got dressed this morning! 😂

Today I’m wearing…

Image result for grey shirt with lace

A shirt similar to this one (^^^) except with less lace on the top and simpler sleeves.

Image result for jean bermuda shorts

Shorts similar to these (except… different).

And no jewelry because I have a two year old sister 😜

DAY 5 – Home

This prompt confused me a little bit, but my home is anywhere the people I love are! I’ve lived in lots of different places but I could live anywhere with my family ❤ Soo cliche I know but it’s true!

DAY 6 – Three Ways to Win your Heart

lol this is going to be… interesting.

 1. Be a Christian//Have a good relationship with Christ

This is so important and a lot of people in our generation don’t- or they say that they are Christians but they don’t have a personal relationship with Christ. If I was in a relationship, it would need to be with someone who had a good relationship with the Lord.

2. Have a purpose in life

This may sound silly, but a lot of guys I see don’t really have a purpose in life. They want to get through today and just repeat it again tomorrow, and endlessly for the rest of their life. Having goals and a higher purpose in life is really important.

3. Be courteous

Again, this may sound silly but being courteous, polite, and respectful is such a lost idea in our generation. I think it’s really important!

DAY 7 –

I hope you enjoyed! I had a lot of fun with these 🙂
